Former Ukip leader calls for party leader Gerard Batten to stand down
Nigel Farage has condemned Ukip’s decision to appoint the far-right activist Tommy Robinson as an adviser and called for the embattled party’s leader, Gerard Batten, to stand down.
The former Ukip leader said he was “appalled” by the decision to bring the English Defence League founder and anti-Islam activist into the party’s fold to advise Batten on grooming gangs and prisons (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/nov/22/tommy-robinson-ukip-grooming-gangs-adviser).
